VIEW_1[1]The practice was founded in 1960 and has since expanded so that it now consists of four partners and twenty staff.We moved into our new purpose built building in 2012 and from this we aim to provide family medicine of the highest standards for the benefit of our patients.

As well as a source of information about our practice, the staff & the services we provide, we hope you use the website as a useful resource with links to other reliable websites for health related information. If there is topical health information we will also add this to the website.



Winter is coming so please remember to book your flu vaccination!

Our flu clinics are starting on 25 September.  Please contact our Reception any weekday after 2pm to book your flu vaccination.



We have reviewed our appointment system in response to comments from patients.

Following a trial period, we have decided to stop the triage service which was put in place in October 2018.

We will be returning to the system which was in place previously and any patients who need urgent on-the-day appointments can telephone or call into the Surgery and will be booked with one of our Nurse Practitioners.

How To Cancel An Appointment

  1. By text - reply 'Cancel' to you appointment confirmation text and it will be automatically cancelled from our system.
  2. By phone - call our reception team on 01277 821699.
  3. By email - email and include your name, date of birth and appointment details.


We are currently experiencing delays in stocking some medications due to supplier manufacturing problems.


In order to prevent a delay in fulfilling your prescription, we ask that you submit your repeat prescription requests

2 weeks before your medication is due to run out.

Dispensary Opening Hours

From 1 May 2018 our Dispensary will be open from 8.30am-1pm and 2pm-6.30pm Monday to Friday.

Please remember we close early for staff training the first Tuesday of each month.  See dates below.


The surgery are waiting for the completion of 4 extra telephone lines to enable patients to get through more easily

GP Extended Access Hub

From 1st April 2018 the Brentwood Extended Access HUB will be open.  This will operate from - Brambles Surgery, which is located on the old Highwood hospital site on Geary Drive.

To access this service please contact us as normal to book an appointment in the HUB - the opening times are as follows

Monday to Friday 6.30pm to 8pm

Saturday 9am to 3pm

Sunday 10am to 2pm

The GP Extended Access Service is provided by Accountable Care Enterprise Ltd (ACE) which is wholly owned by the GP practices in Brentwood, working together on behalf of practices, patients and staff to deliver safe, effective and responsive healthcare services.



 Protected learning time dates for 2019 are:  

Tuesday 4 February 2020

Tuesday 3 March 2020

The surgery will be closed from 1.00pm on these dates and will re-open as usual at 8.30am the following morning.  If you need to speak to a doctor during this time please phone the surgery and you will be re-directed to the Out-of-Hours service.

Going to Basildon Hospital as an in-patient

If you are going to admitted to Basildon Hospital it is important that you bring your medicines with you in an NHS green bag. You can get your green bag from Reception.
