Mums-to-be no longer need to visit a GP – you can just refer yourself online. If you are a mum-to-be and you have a positive pregnancy test and you wish to have your baby under the care of Basildon Hospital Maternity Services, you can contact the maternity team directly by completing the antenatal self-referral form without the need to see a GP first.
Go to: http://basildonandthurrock.nhs.uk
Click on ‘SERVICES‘. Arrow down and click on MATERNITY SERVICES. You will then find the Antenatal Self-Referral Form for you to complete and submit to the hospital.
A qualified midwife will contact them by telephone within seven days following receipt to discuss the next step.

You can now contact your Midwife directly by telephoning 01245 513 040 (answerphone available), or go to the following link Maternity Services put your answers to the questions on the email and send to the midwives, they will contact you to arrange your booking.
